Summer 2011

Summer 2011

Being one of the last summers where I don’t have to be super mature. I was quiet immature. Apart from being responsible with work, it was a immature summer.

Work places are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, well for the most part the job I had this summer was very hit and miss. One day was either fun and went smooth without a problem. Or it will be a long day with many problems and the possibility of someone walking out mid shift saying I quit. The Saltys beach house being the small food franchise it is has a nonstop flow of customers never making it an easy job. Last year Saltys had an unfortunate turn when the owner died. The new owner isn’t to bad but management has changed a lot. A new souse chef who makes every ones life miserable, George bush could do his job better. Aside from that working at Saltys definitely changed my work habits and has made me a better person!

Some family’s are Boring, some family’s are fun some family’s are active and some family’s like to party. My family is definitely boring. Near the end of July I had a family reunion to go to in Valmont British Columbia. As boring as it was, it was nice to see family and friends. Not a lot of people were there in my age group being 16 it very fast became boring. Lots of people from Holland were at this family reunion that I remembered from spring break 2011. My mother, Grandmother and I made a family trip to Amsterdam where I tried lots of new things, but that’s besides the point. All in all it was nice to see family.

Pullman Washington being one of the most biggest party schools in all of America “WSU” was a very exciting part of my summer. My cousin recently got accepted into it so I went down there to visit him. He was thrilled to see me and I was thrilled to see him but I was very thrilled to try out the college life for a couple of days. What I ended up doing was going to fraternity houses and partied for two days straight. The last night I was there we had a “do nothing” night so we just watched movies in his dorm. It was a very good time but I didn’t get any sleep the last night. When I returned home being the last day before school and also being a grad there was a huge party I had to go to. Getting no sleep that night either the first day of school was hard but I got through it. That brings my summer to a end. All in all it was an amazing summer. No regrets.
